Mother Nature has a dirty mind

We finally got the Erotika film out into the world, and seeing it pop up on Shots this week was a highlight for the whole team.

The idea behind the film is pretty straightforward, even if the visuals aren't.

We took the classic evolution of man trope and gave it a kinky overhaul. Usually, evolution is all about survival of the fittest, but we wanted to see what happens when you prioritize pleasure instead. What if Mother Nature was less concerned with us building fires and more concerned with us having a good time?

It is a bit of a weird one. We knew that going in. When you start redesigning human appendages for sensual offerings, you're definitely moving into biologically questionable territory. That's exactly how Jamie Madge described it in the Shots feature, and honestly, we couldn't agree more.

Director Kobayashi and the Bait Society crew really nailed the tone. It needed to feel like a real manifesto but with a knowing wink. It is saucy, it is a little ridiculous, and it felt like the right way to handle a Valentine's Day release without being cliché.
