A filmmaker shaped by advertising and VFX, Kobayashi turns briefs into inevitability and campaigns into culture. His craft is cinematic precision married to generative invention. He builds workflows that compress time, expand vision, and make brands feel like stories written in stone. His feature film Only for the Weekend was selected in the official program of the Montréal World Film Festival and screened at the Rome Film Festival. His commercials have been featured in Shots Magazine, Ads of the World, and circulated globally across the creative industry. He is a past Digital Artist Award winner in London (2009) and recipient of the Italian Videoclip Award (2006). He has spoken on the future of film and AI at OFFF, KLDW, and most recently at the AI Film Festival Amsterdam (2025). At Bait Society, Kobayashi is both architect and predator, designing images that lure, cut, and stay.
